Said the angels to the shepherds on the plain;

Singing with music the sweetest,

Christ has come, a Savior evermore to reign.

Let angels join the chorus,

And help to praise His name.

Ever shown to sinful mortals on this ball.

For this wondrous plan of pardon through His blood;

How blest to know His forgiveness,

Granting full salvation through the grace of God.
