1. When I consider the works of Your Hand,

as heaven's glory I see—

What is man that You are mindful of him?

Who am I, Lord, that You care for me!

2. Man You created, and you gave him a crown,

to rule the Works of Your hand.

Beasts of the field, the birds in the air,

fish of the sea: all are at our command!
